WinXP by default "stacks" multiple open or minimized windows in a program
like (for example) Outlook Express, rather than giving each one its own
taskbar item. I find this inconvenient. A while ago I read about a way to
change back to the old, pre-XP way, but I can't find or remember it. (I can
hardly figure out how to describe it!) Can anyone help?

Right click the Start Button and select Properties/Taskbar Tab. Remove the
check mark from the "Group similar taskbar buttons" option.

It may be hidden off the bottom of the screen. Move the cursor to the bottom
of the screen and when it turns into a double pointed arrow, press and hold
the left mouse button and drag it towards the top of the screen.
