Taskbar icon?

I installed WD yesterday. It installed perfectly, no issues. I am concerned
because there is no taskbar icon present, as there was with AS. I checked
settings, and it is set for real time protection. I checked running
processes, and could find nothing that appeared to be WD, but of course I
don't know the name of the file which should be running. Any suggestions?

When I said taskbar, I meant "system tray".

Look for MSASCui.exe, 8.176K, as a running process. If it is there then WD
is up and going. BTW I repented of my sins, took Beta 1 back out and put WD
back in.

Thanks, yes, it is running.

Hi,
You can also look forthe service running, called "Windows Defender."

I too want to add my comment that there is no system tray icon. We use
that as a kind of security blanket for our users. They can see the SAV
shield and the MSAS target and feel that all is well. I do not see anyway to
turn that on or off and would like to see that option in the future.

Sincerely,
