Taskbar hide inactive icons arrow

I have lost the moving circle with the arrow, located to
the left of several icons, on the lower right near the
clock location. If you left click on the taskbar,under
properties, a window appears which shows a hide inactive
icons box with a check mark in it. The moving arrow does
not re appear.... Please advise. Thanks

Very easy way to fix this, unlock taskbar by right clicking it and clicking unlock taskbar, then click the top of the taskbar when the double arrow shows up, move the taskbar down then back up. Basically that refreshes your taskbar, the taskbar should be back to normal.

It takes time for the chevron to reappear, hours for many users. Especially
after removing past items. Either way and in the meantime, set the first
icon shown to hidden. More information here:
