I was wondering if anyone had found a solution to the
following:

I'd like to create a subfolder in my task folder for
department specific tasks, the problem is with the
reminders, is that they will not show unless they are in
the main task or calendar folders. has anyone got advice?

What version of Outlook are you using? There are a couple of 3rd party
addins that will add the reminder functionality to other folders, but they
don't work with all Outlook versions.

In advice?

.

Internet only mode or corporate/workgroup? You'd need c/w mode. Check
in Help, About Microsoft Outlook to see your mode.

I am having this same problem and I am on Outlook 2000. I
use subfolders under my tasks and it doesn't show me
reminders, go on my task management list or allow me to
receive status updates to tasks that I assign. What are
the 3rd party addins and would it help with all of these
issues???

Your input will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

You can find both of them (that I'm aware of) at www.slovaktech.com -- one
is called Extended Reminders and one is called Reminder Manager. Be
forewarned, though, that they only work with Outlook 2000 if you have it
configured in Corporate/Workgroup mode. If you're using Internet Only Mode,
I'm afraid these programs will not help you.

As for having the tasks in subfolders appear on the task management list or
receive updates, I don't know if you have any recourse. Poke around at
www.slipstick.com and see if you can find the answers there.
