Is there a way to use the task scheduler to shut down
processes and programs??? I've searched the help and the
knowledege base and found nothing. I've seen it done
with a win2k pc so I know it can't be totally impossible
with XP, Right?

In WinXP Pro, you have e.g. the command line tool taskkill.exe
available...
