Hello
I'm quite certain that this will be an easy question for all of you helpful
advisors. You continually beat it into the heads of us not-so-experienced
users that adequate AV, spyware and adware programs are mandatory. My
question: if one is utilizing 5 or 6 of these programs, is it adviseable to
have Task Scheduler run them simultaneous while one is blissfully snoozing?
Thank you for your help.
As an aside, I read through this newsgroup most mornings and have found your
collective help to be most beneficial.

Most of these programs have their own options to schedule scans without using
Task Scheduler.

I would look at these options and set them to your preferences.

Gord

Thanks for you help Gord, but it appears that I was not clear enough in my
question.
What I wish to know is "is it adviseable to run these programs simultaneous
or should I run them concurrent"?
Thanks
Terry

I would schedule each one to run at a different time. Example: schedule
antivirus to run. Then an hour or so, schedule the next program to run. You
may want to perform manual scans with each program. Time how long each one
takes. Leave a bit of a "breather period" in between each scheduled task.

Thank you, Sharon
Terry
