Well, I'd figured that one out, but the one that really annoys me is the
one when I try to create a new document(File->New)...I can't figure out
how to kill that one...Man it's a pain!!!

I just avoid the File->New command and use a Toolbar button to invoke
New ->Other. That way I get the dialog box that has the document types
grouped. Otherwise I use a Toolbar button for New Blank document.

If you drag the third File>New command listed in the Customize>Commands
dialog box to the toolbar, it does both of these in one button. Clicking
on the icon opens a new blank document. Clicking on the down arrow gives
you choices, one of which is New>Other (I dragged everything off my
dropdown list except Other and NewEmailMessage). It's not really an
extra mouse click since you click the downarrow, slide the mouse slightly
down to Other and then let go, and it saves toolbar space.

FWIW, I've migrated all of the articles previously at home.zebra.net to the
new site and also added some new ones. You might want to take a look at the
home page, http://home.earthlink.net/~wordfaqs.
