Task Manger

For some reason, when I push Alt-Ctrl-Del, my task
manager program briefly flashs on my screen. It then
appears for approximately 1 second in the taskbar, and
disappears. I am unable to get it to stay visible, and
was wondering what I need to do to fix that.

Since these files are windows system files, so then try

the system file checker tool. Click start, run, and type
in this here; "sfc /scannow" with that space after the
sfc. It will ask for your XP CD to copy any needed files
from, and it runs as "windows file protection". And if you
do not have a XP CD, try to borrow one from a friend.
