task manager

i have broken my computer and i need to take it back to a
date when it was running fine in order to fix it. to do
this, i need to access the control panel. however, in
breaking the computer, i do not get any icons, the task
bar is missing, task manager says my system is idle, the
only way i can load things is through task manager and i
cannot get the control panel up. please help as i need my
computer working!!

What do you need to access in Control Panel? Most everything in there can be
accessed from Task Manager.

For instance, if you want to access the System module, in Task Manager use
sysdm.cpl for the new task. Appwiz.cpl gets you the Add and Remove Programs
module, etc.
