Hi, Gurus,
This has probly been posted a gazillion times before, but is there anywhere
on the internet where I can find the definitive list of processes (as found
in the task manager - processes section), and which includes whether they
are necessary or not, and whether I can stop them in msconfig - start up.
I know there are certain .exe files that must run to keep the thing useable,
such as explorer, etc. But I have found a few that I can't find any
reference to in any website, anywhere, such as asm.exe, dbgout.exe.
I run XP on an old machine that has been upgraded to handle it, and I
frequently have to go and have a cup of tea while the machine catches up
with itself.
Cheers,
