Hi

I can't seem to log off a user in Task manager. When I bring up task
manager and click on Users I see my wife and I. If I right click on my wife
and choose log off I get this message, User wife (SessionID=2) could not be
logged off. Access is denied. It doesn't matter if I have her account set to
admin or user still the same problem. Any ideas?

than you

Sean,

You will need to run Task Manager elevated to log off other users.

Start Task Manager, go to Processes tab and click "Show processes from all
users". This will restart Task Manager with elevated privileges. Then go to
Users tab and log off user in question.

Hi Sean,

Click start, type taskmgr, right click the entry in the menu and use "run as
administrator" and see if this allows you to log off the user.

Thank you,

That worked perfect. You know what's funny is I called MS support and they
said it wasn't possible in Vista.
