I have XP set up with multi user logins. Recently 2 of
the users are no longer able to access task manager by
control/alt/del or right click on task bar.
How can I remedy this? where in the permissions or user
accesses is this?

No error message. The message that appears is that the
function has been disabled by the system administrator,
and when I right click the Task manager is greyed out.

Is there an error message? Does it open, then quickly
close? Do you just get a brief hourglass on the screen?

See www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Enable/Disable Task Manager.

However, this behavior is symptomatic of a virus/trojan/spyware infection. Update your antivirus software and rescan your system, preferably in Safe Mode. You may also want to check out programs like AdAware (www.lavasoftusa.com) and Spybot Search and Destroy (www.safer-networking.org)

I have up to date antivirus, and use Spybot.
Your utilities did not work, however I have not restarted
yet - that could make a difference.
Do you know any trojan search tools?
