TASK MANAGER WON'T STAY OPEN

When I try to open task manager, it just closes after one
second. This happened after I received a windows
messenger message that said the computer must shut down.
It counted down from 30 seconds and it shut down. When it
restarted I was not able to keep task manager open. Any
ideas? I would really appreciate any help. Thanks.

Run a full virus scan lately? This sounds like Klez to me...
