Task Manager window in XP Home

Hi,

I'm a "reasonably" experienced user, but recently I've somehow done
something that has me puzzled.

When I hit ctl-alt-del to bring up the Task Manager, I'm now getting only
the main window of the "Processes" tab - the main "Windows Task Manager"
window, and all the other tabs are not there ???

This means that if (when) I need to kill a rogue application, I kill it by
process name and then have to kill the tskmgr application via its process
name as well, as I don't have a window with the normal controls surrounding
the list of processes.

Anyone got ay ideas ?

Hi Duncan,

Sounds like the Task Manager is in "Tiny Footprint" mode. Double-click in
the border area of the Task Manager, and all the tabs etc. should return.

Patti,
I guess that's why you're MVP and I'm a mere mortal ...

It worked straight away ... thanks heaps.

Duncan,

Even highly experienced users have been puzzled by that one, so don't feel
bad.

You're welcome :)
