I am working on someone's computer who has only worked with
Win9x before. I replaced her bad HDD, and installed her new
copy of 2k Pro. I have done several things to make it more
user-friendly(such as auto-login) because this is her
personal home computer. One thing I want to do to help her
adjust is to make a change to the GPO(local computer
policy) so that when she presse ctrl-alt-del(already logged
in), Task Manager pops up, rather than going to the Windows
Security dialog box. She has no need to lock the computer,
log off, or change her password, and she can shut down and
reboot the computer from the start menu. I am willing to
make any changes to the system necessary, short of change
of OS, to make this work, because the Windows Security
dialog box is a shock to someone ingrained into Win9x, who
is not very computer literate to begin with. Thanks.
