Task Manager Question

Hi, -

I run a couple of databases simultaneously. Sometimes I need to kill one.
When I pull Task Manager up, at times it will list the db, sometimes it just
lists MS Access. Is this something I can adjust so that the db name is
displayed all the time? is there a way to know which databases are running?

I run Windows XP Professional 2000 and 2002 on two computers and need this
function on both.

Thanks for your help.

I would'nt have though killing an open Access db with this method would be
reccomended - a risk of corruption by incorrectly closing?
PS I dont ever recollect seeing any of my Access db's appearing as anything
other than MSAccess in Task Manager

Thank you.

Trying to kill it using Ctrl+Break does nothing. How would you recommend
stopping the process?

Sometimes it lists the db name and the query running which is very helpful.

Well I've just closed the db in the usual way within Access, but closing
whilst a query is running doesnt sound like a very good idea to me.
I'm assuming this is not a runtime access db.

I'm relatively new to this. Runtime Access db?

I am uncomfortable using the Task Manager to end but waiting to end it
within Access - sometimes it doesn't feel as though Access responds.

You'll want to get to the bottom of what is running. Does the Access status
bar indicate a running query?

Yes, it does but SO slowly. That is why I sometimes need to kill it. I'm
thinking it could be a) I wrote the query incorrectly and it is pulling way
too much data or b) the network is slow. Are these hunches correct?

Runtime db;
This is when you use the developers version of Access to create a standalone
db that will run on a PC that doesnt have Access installed.

To add to Dave Patricks comments;
If you close Access via Task Manager whilst a query is running you run the
risk of corrupting the db
