task manager problems

My computer is driving me nuts. Among many other things, if I open my task
manager... it closes 2 seconds later on its own. I ran every scan I have
(virus, ad-aware, scandisk, defrag) And nothing helped... please advise

Try this trojan remover..my daughter had the exact same symptom on her pc,
the task manager closed right after it was opened. I scanned it with
everything I hadtoo, and found nothing, then someone suggested this program.

Download it ( 30 day trial), update it ( important..it didn't find it till I
did the update ) and then scan and remove whatever it finds. I forget the
name of the program it found, but after removing it and rebooting, her task
manager works fine now. Her system is stable again too, it was crashing
before I removed the problem.

This didn't help, but thanks... any more suggestions?
