Hey there, ive had some issues with programs freezing up and then the task manager wont be able to close them... I have run Norton Antivirus with the latest definitions and Ad-aware, and it came up with nothing...

Additionally, my laptop takes ages to shut down.

Its really annoying, if somebody could tell me a way of fixing it, please do

Cheers everyone,
Kaan

Hi Kaan,

See whats loading at startup, if there are too many items uncheck those that arent essential during boot, also run a disk cleanup and defragment the drive, if its been a while since you cleaned out the junk and the drive is fragmented, doing these will definitely help improve ur startup/shutdown and also speed.
I would also recommend scanning with SPybot as well.
