I want to schedule a task that should start no later than July 05 and end no earlier than July 24. There will be only 16 hours but these will be spread over those sixteen days. Project won't let me. It seems stuck on an 8-hour day. I am sure this is just my ignorance. Can anyone tell me what settings controll this? I am guessing the settin is on the advanced tab of the task manager. I think it is either Task type, Calender, or the effort driven check box. The help explanation for these is meaningless.

I'm sure you will get a much more accurate and lucid answer to your question
if you ask it in the correct newsgroup. This one is dedicated to Microsoft
Access, the database product. What you want is the Microsoft Project
newsgroups:

On news.microsoft.com...
microsoft.public.project

or

The Microsoft Communities Homepage...

or

Microsoft Project | General...
