Task Bar Windows in Excel

Dear Sir or Madam
I have a Problem in Windows Task bar for Excel 2003
Worksheet
I have Excel 2003 but I do not Have Windows on task bar
to freeze panes.
Please note it is ticked in options,
I have also re installed Office 2003 to see if this will
fixed my problem.
I have always had it on Excel 98 & then on 2000 ,I know
it is there as I have once found & lost it in 2003 & I
need this for my costing work sheet in Excel.

Do the taskbar buttons appear if you turn the feature off:

--Choose Tools>Options, select the View tab
--Remove the check mark from 'Windows in Taskbar'
--Click OK

then turn it back on?
