Task Bar Problems...

I've scanned the related groups here for problems with MSAS and the Task
Bar, however have not found the one I am experiencing...

The problem I have is with the pop-up message windows being partially
covered by the task bar. I have my task bar set at double high, and when
the window opens, it seems to align itself with where the top of the task
bar would be if it were only single high. Apparently the windows don't
actually "latch" to the top of the task bar, otherwise I would assume they
would display properly.

I have temporarily dealt with this problem by using a nice feature of my
nVidia video drivers to make the task bar transparent. This allows me to
view the complete message, all be it partially covered on the bottom
portion....

Thanks - I don't think I've seen this posted myself. My own taskbar is
double height, and I'm not sure that I've seen this--I've just tested
thusly:

Right-click the desktop and choose new, text document, and name the (empty)
document test.bat. Double click on this empty file. You should get an
ominous red alert. In my case, it is aligned with the top of the taskbar
properly.

You are correct, it did align properly... Apparently I was mistaken of what
was aligning incorrectly... The pop-ups seem fine, but the one thing that I
know for SURE is misaligned (i.e. lines itself single high) is the status
box when the program does it's scheduled system scans.

I have a similar Task bar problem. I like the Task Bar,
Verticle on the Right side of my screen (set to
1600x1024). If I create an alarm as mentioned elsewhere
(i.e. emty .bat file) the resulting Pop-up box, appears
in the lower right corner, and runs up the screen and off
the top very quickly. This does not seem to happen if I
move the task bar to the bottom of the screen.

Ah - you may be quite correct--as it happens, I've managed to turn that
facility off, and not figured out how to turn it on again!

It's been so long since I saw that dialog box that I don't have a clear
recollection. Maybe I'll make another effort to see if I can turn it back
on again!

This is a bug--it's on the list to be fixed. a horizontal taskbar is the
recommended workaround.

You know, I looked for those options myself, and I can't seem to find it
either... I know that I have seen it before, but where?? :)

Ah, I have located it...
Easy Way... TOOLS, SPYWARE SCAN, MANAGE SPYWARE SCHEDULE...
On right side, need to UNCHECK "Do not display scan progress"...

Oohh--thanks for taking me back there.

I did have the check-box checked (but just for kicks, I unchecked it and
then checked it again, which allowed the "save" button to become active.

But what I really was looking for and hadn't found was the ignored items
list--that has got to be the most poorly located item in the whole UI!

I'd "ignored" poebot based on the false detection of empty .bat files, and
was trying to figure out how to unignore it, and hadn't found it yet.
