I've posted before on this...but have only received the standard suggestions
for fixes and none of them work...so I'll try to explain things more
specifically.
When I boot up, it's a crap shoot in terms of what I may or may not have on
my task bar. There are times when I have nothing...and there are times when
I have one or two of the icons I need. I can manually add things but they
disappear again. And yes, I have made the appropriate changes in terms of
telling the computer to never hide certain items...but it hides them
anyway...no matter what I do. Others, that I don't want on the task bar at
all and have checked the "always hide" option, periodically appear for no
apparent reason.
I use a Dell Notebook Inspiron 8000 with Windows XPHE (via Dell). Ever
since I upgraded from Windows ME to XP (both Dell versions), I've had
trouble. I've gone to Microsoft and Dell and have yet to fix the task bar
problem.
If no one has an answer, perhaps they can suggest an on-line source for
info.
Thanks
