task bar disapeared!

I thought I should know this, but apparantly I don't. My
task bar disappeared. Where did it go? HOw do I make it
come back? You know, sometimes you just don't appreciate
the finer things in life until they are gone. . .

It's probably at the very bottom of your screen.
Just drag it up with your mouse.
 
Or in the task manager (through ctrl-alt-del) hit File -> Run...
explorer
And see if it comes back
