Greetings,
I recently purchased a laptop, and then decided I needed a laptop
mouse. I got a targus USB optical mouse (corded) which works well with
the laptop. However, when using that mouse at work (on a desktop PC),
when I return to my desk and grasp the mouse I will occasionally
experience a static shock. It (mouse) seems to have several metal
contact points designed for just this, perhaps to prevent hardware
damage, but it usually causes the mouse to stop working until I unplug
it for a couple seconds and plug it back in. Has anyone ever heard of
such a thing? Not really looking for a solution as I can just go back
to the ol' PS/2 but just curious if anyone else has had this happen?
