On Windows 2000, where can I find the tape device name (e.g. \\.\Tape0)?
On XP, it is on a tab in the properties sheet in the Device Manager.
I can find it in the registry, under HKLM\Hardware\Devicemap\Scsi, but
I'm trying to explain how to identify one of several tapes on a system,
and the registry is just not a very clean way to do it.
Is it GUARANTEED that you can just count through the list in
Device Manager (Tape0, Tape1, etc.)? Or is that list organized in some
other way (for example, alphabetically if there are multiple manufacturers)?
