From your post, my understanding of this issue is: You would like to know
if it is possible to transfer data from a DLT tape to a DAT tape. If this
is not correct, please feel free to let me know.
As far as I know, I agree with you that the transfer cannot be implemented
directly without a medi-computer. However, if you would like to definitely
confirm this, it might be better if you contact the manufacturer of the
tapes for further support, because they are really authoritative in this
field.
