i have been trying to reinstall and play the old
battleground series games all will run but #9 the last in
the series . i have windows xp and the error message is
program has encountered a problem and will now close

The best Battleground advice is available at:

since the other 8 work, I doubt there's an issue with
your system, but rather an issue with game 9.

patch to allow the game to run under windows xp
