Taking over a PC from New York

Hi all,

Please help. I will be staying at a hotel in New York with my laptop and I need to "take over" my PC at my office in California. I have both PC runs Windows XP Pro. My assistant is illiterate about the program that I need to run on my PC at my office in California. Other than using GoToMyPC or PCAnywhere, is this possible to be done with Windows XP PRO without 3rd party software? I just need to do this one time because I will have a conference in New York next week. Thanks for your advice and help.

Yes, you can do it with Remote Desktop.
