My pick is that you take a long walk off a short pier.
Or, you could start another flood of irrelevant posts.
Or, you could hump your grandmother and get the same gratification.

You'll have to get off grandma first!

So, so, ProteanThread, remember games go in alt.comp.freeware.games ;-)

A troll critizing a flooder! WOW, that made my day! :-)

I don't understand what paltry gratification anyone gets from flooding a
newsgroup. It's a pathetic way of getting attention. It's just like the
Dutch morons who flood the binary groups ad naseum with the same files day
in and day out. Why do people revel in ignorance? Do you really enjoy being
hated in the group?

Watch your tongue, buddyboy. I know where your grandma lives!

Say, you just criticized a flooder. Thanks for joining us.

Protean Thread enjoys 'morphing' the name to get past killfiles. I added
"From: Protean" to the score file and gave it a -9999 score. No 100 day
limit there, and all variants of Protean are blocked.

Even further OT:
Doc, did you solve your mysterious re-appearing systray clock-problem ?
And if so, could you tell me how ? I'm having the same problem.

I never did find a solution. However, over my Xmas break, I re-formatted my
hard drive and I can now hide my systray clock permanently.

PS ..... the re-format was NOT done just to cure the clock problem. ;)

Currently he seems to have two ID's, depending whether he is posting
through Google or not. The email address remains constant so is
filterable.
I've taken it as an excuse to set NFilter loose on 'google' in the MID
- anybody posting through Google now has a <G> in the subj line...

With me it was the other way around: it worked fine, untill I decided it
was time for a fresh install of 98se and now it keeps coming back up after
a reboot.

It irritates me in such a degree that I'm actually considering it...;)
