Howdy,
I had a Win2k server set up as a DC that I took off the
domain (dcpromo). THe global catalogue and operations
masters were moved over to another server.

Since then I have restored that Win2k server but it cannot
connect to Active Directory.

When I try and run dcpromo (to remove from the domain) the
Win2k Server thinks it is still a DC, whilst the AD thinks
that it isn't a DC.

How do I make it a DC on AD?

Thanks in advance.
Chris

The rest of the domain thinks that the machine has been removed. By
restoring it. It now thinks that it is a DC again. If the box is SP4 use
DCPROMO /FORCEREMOVAL. Then dcpromo the machien up as a dc.

If it is not at SP4 then either get the following hotfix or apply SP4.
