Let me ask an ignorant question - how do I get rid of the
little popup window on the XP desktop asking me to "Take a
tour of windows" - I'm getting ready to remove messenger
from our computers at the school as a liability issue -
are these Microsoft messages part of messenger?

If you are using Pro (which I would EXTREMELY recommend for a school), just
prevent the user group that the students are in from accessing the folder.
Since this is a school, and you have to take extra precautions with the
computers, I would suggest getting someone who knows how, to set up the
computers. There are many ways that knowledgeable little hands can get into
the system, which anyone who knows a fair bit about Windows can *easily*
prevent. But the layman would not know how.
Hope this helps.
