Hi everyone,

I have a user that has the following problem. Sometimes when she updates a
recurring meeting, she gets an error message that looks like this (she has a
Outlook XP in French so I have to translate, might not be quite accurate but
it should ring a bell to one of you people :-))

"Impossible to execute the function, since the message was modified"

We run Win2k Sp3, Office XP SP2. Even though she receives this error message
(it's a popup), the meetings stays open and the update got sent, but we
don't see it. We sent 15 updates thinking it was not sending anything... !

She has this message after modifiying an occurence of a serie in the
calendar of someone who delegated her calendar to her.

Can anyone help ?

If you need more details, I'd be happy to provide them.

Thanks !

Mathieu

This is a known issue which we are working on a fix for. I would imagine
she is a delegate updating a manager meetings. If she opened the meeting,
and before she sent the update, the manager had made some change to it (ie
dismiss a reminder), this error will occur. Sometimes the changes are not
an explicit action by the user, but possibly processing a meeting response
that just came in.

Hi Kasey,

Thanks a bunch. I'll tell the user that when she makes changes, she has to
make them quickly, and not open the message, go to lunch, then update the
meeting... :-)

Thank you. :-) It's really appreciated.

Kasey, Do you know when this will be fixed? Is this going to come out i
a new office service pack?

I'm currently running W2k Pro with Office 2000.

Thanks,
Be
