Does anyone know where there are instructions for
installing the Tablet Edition OS. The Tablet PC Edition
comes on two disks. The first seems to just be Windows XP
and the second has the tablet cab files. The Tabletpc.cab
files are on a seperate disk, but I have no instructions
for what to do with them. There is no installer or any
other usefull info that I can find on the disk.
We cant use the vendor's recovery Cd due to a vendor
issue, but we have a licensed copy of the Tablet PC
Edition CD's.
Thanks for the help.

There's a Tablet PC newsgroup, check the list, that's where you'd likely be
able to find such instructions.

Boot with the regular XP CD, and when prompted insert the CD with the Tablet files.

Why can you not use the vendor supplied CDs with the Vendors device ?

According to the tech at Toshiba, the Toshiba Tablet has
an ID that apparently doesn't match the disk they sent
with it. I would need to Send the Tablet back to Toshiba
or take it into a Toshiba certified service center to have
that number reset on the tablet. They said the other
option was to install from Tablet media. I work for a
University with a site license for the media so I was
trying that route.
