Hi.
I'd like to be pointed to a FAQ or tutorial which can explain Table
configuration.

A main problem at the moment is that I can't figure out a way to get Tables
to sit very closely to each other on the page without one jumping to overlap
the other.

Thanks
BW

You could start with
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/TableBasics.htm, but it won't help
much with that specific question. If you're trying to put two tables side by
side, it's often easier to put them in newspaper-style (snaking) columns
(which can be uneven) instead of trying to wrap one or both of the tables.
Also, instead of wrapping a table, it's better to put it in a frame, which
makes it more backward-compatible (since wrapped tables were introduced in
Word 2000).

Keep in mind that, with any floating object (which includes wrapped tables)
the Advanced section of the Layout tab in Format | Object gives you finer
control over the position of the object in relation to the page and other
objects.
