Table shows 1, Form shows 01 Why?

When I select an item from my combobox with the number 01, the table shows
the data as 1. I cant figure it out. The format is text. It should
populate the table exactly as selected. I have the format as text on both
the table and combobox. I cant use numbers because I have items of 01, 02,
02a, 05-1, etc. Any ideas...Thanks...Randy

What is the Data Type -- not Format -- of the field in the table? Also,
what are the Row Source, Column Count, Bound Column, and Column Widths
properties of the combo box? Maybe the combo box displays a text value
but stores a numeric ID.
