Table of content & Section

When i tried to insert table of content in a word document
( 80 pages ) the option of right align is disabled .
also when i tried to insert section break in the same
document (type new page )
a continuos section inserted instead. Please help

Right align what and where in the document?

Look at File, Page Setup, Layout Tab and make sure that the Sections Tsarts
at... is set to Next Page.

Please let us know what versions of Word and OS you are using if you need
any mote help.

There would be no point in right-aligning a TOC if you have page numbers at
the right margin with period leaders (the default). If you are using page
numbers adjacent to the TOC entry, then I suppose you could format each of
the TOC styles as right-aligned. This would be a very unconventional TOC,
however.

On the Layout tab of Page Setup, what type of section start is shown for
your new section? Are you sure you don't have more than one section break?
(Check the status bar for section numbers.)

You will find that TOC comprises ToC Styles: TOC 1 Style is for Heading 1
entries, TOC 2 Style for Heading 2 entries, etc. So to change any alignment
or tab stops, edit the TOC Style for that particular level.

Then as Suzanne suggests.
