I assume that the reason I cannot use a picture as a background in any of my
tables is because my website is based on a theme.
If that is the reason, is there any way to go around it?

Nothing to do w/ your theme
Set your browser / schema to IE5 in Tools Page Options Authoring

Unless the suggestion was based on FP version other than 2002, my Page
Options has the tabs General, Auto Thumbnail, Default Font, HTML Source,
Color Coding and Compatibility. Under Compatib. Browsers selection (I have
Both IE and Navigator), Browser version (I have 5.0 Browsers and later).
When I create a table in one of the web pages, the background color is
available but not the Use Background picture.

easy to test...create a page without a theme and see.

Correct for versions prior to FP2003.

You need to modify the theme to change the background image, then save the theme under a new name,
remove the current theme and then apply your newly modified theme.

Based on the suggestion on this Forum, I changed the Compatability from IE
and Netscape to IE only and the table background worked as indicated. I am
not sure if this feature will then limit the number of visitors to my website
that can see the table correctly. I will test it with Netscape and see how it
works. Thanks for the information.
