Tab Stop in table cell

I have a table with 3 columns and 9 rows. The first and second columns
contain text. The third column contains prices (ex: 99.99). I need the third
column to have a decimal stop. Can I do this independently of the first 2
columns. If yes, how can I do this.

You can set a decimal tab in one cell, unfortunately not in a whole column,
in PPT 2003 that is. What I always do is to insert a table of only one row,
insert the tabs in the cells as appropriate, in your case only in the the
cell of the third column. Then insert rows using right click and insert
rows. The rows you insert should be an identical copy and contain all the
tabs. Before you insert the extra rows be sure to adjust the hight of the
row first.
In PPT 2007 this has all changed and you can insert tabs pretty much like
you do in Word. Select the column (hover above and click when you see the
black arrow). On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group click the
dialogstarterbutton, click on tabs button, insert a decimal tab, click OK.
That's it.

Yes, you can do this. Which version of PPT are you using?

Generally speaking, you can set the decimal tab by clicking the tab type to
the far left of the ruler. Then use Ctrl+Tab to add a tab stop in a table
cell.

Luc,
I have PP 2007 and have done as you instructed. When I return to the table,
it still shows a left tab stop. Also, will the decimal table stop insert
decimals automatically?

In the Set tabs dialog did you choose the decimal tab radio button, apply
the position then click on Set tabs, and then OK?
As Echo already explained you need to press Ctrl+tab to use the tab in the
cell. All numbers will be aligned using the decimal sign, in Europe that
will be the , in the US I presume the .
 
You still have to insert the tab in each individual cell using Ctrl+Tab.

When you're in the Tab dialog, make sure you choose "decimal" before you set
the tab stop position so that PPT knows what type of tab stop to add.
