Is it possible to have a Tab Control on a Tab Control so that that it can be
seen when a certain "mother" tab is selected and hidden when it is not.

Whenever I try it, it the "daughter" is always viewable whatever "mother"
tab is selected. Not what I want.

It is not possible to place a tab control directly on ("inside", so to
speak) another Tab Control.
However, you can place a subform containing a tab control on a page of
another tab control.
Be aware, though, that performance can suffer if you embed too many subforms
and tab controls.
