This one is a good one as i have been fighting with it for
a couple weeks now...
I have 3 domain controllers:
Server1, Server2, Server3
Now server1 holds all FSMO roles except infastructure which
is held by Server2. Now the problem I am having is when i
am configuring group policies, the changes aren't
replicated to the other servers. So when users log on, they
seem to use server2 most of the time to authentacate their
logon, (don't ask me why, i am thinking it is due to
server1 is the file server and it is usually under a fairly
decent work load). I know they aren't replicated because
when i drop a file into the sysvol share it doesn't get
replicated to the other 2 servers. And i know I am not
impatient because I left the file there for over 24 hours
and it still didn't replicate.
Now, FRS was broken before this, and i had to move the
staging folders to free up enough disk space. Now with
sysvol not replicating, is there a way I can regenerate the
dfs between the servers? Or does it just need more space to
replicate. I only have 250 MB on server1's system drive. I
don't have alot of policies and the sysvol folder itself is
only 7.8 MB, so I don't think it has anything to do with
free space. I may be wrong...
Can anyone point me in the right direction on what i need
to do next. If you need more info, just let me know.
