I have a Windows 2003 domain. When I do a dfsutil /pktinfo the list of
domain controllers for the sysvol referral do not have the same site DCs
listed first. Should they be?

Hello Chris,

If i understand this command correct it takes the DC, where you are authenticated
to. So if it is from another site, have you configured ADSS for your environment?

My authenticating DC is always in the same site as I would expect. It's
just the DFS referral to the Sysvol that seems incorrect. What is ADSS?
Thanks.

Hello Chris,

ADSS is Active Directory Sites and Services. This you have to configure,
if you have more then one site and place the DC's to the subnet where they
are located.

Oh yeah I configured the sites. I authenticate to a DC in the correct
site I just don't get the correct DC for sysvol in my site.

Hello Chris,

Then you can contact MS and order the hotfix for free.
