Sysvol is not shared!!!

Can anybody provide me with a step by step analysis?

The Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 257338 does not outline step by step attacks!

This should be an easy solution!

Anybody out have any experience with this?

All the reference in newsgroups to 'sysvol' have pointed to 257338 !!!

Hi Marc:

Is your issue how to Troubleshooting Missing SYSVOL and NETLOGON Shares?
Let me know which Service Pack you are running and how many DCs are missing
these shares.

I have 3 DCs; 2 of which have the SYSVOL and NETLOGON shares. THe
third server (server_3) 'used' to have the SYSVOL and NETLOGON shares
but now they are missing when I issue the command, "net share".

All W2k servers are running SP3.

THe funny thing is, server_3, has the sysvol directory, but it is not
shared. I tried to manually share it, and it works for about 5
minutes, then bounces out of share mode....if you can believe that...

anyway, can you help!?
