Hi there,

I have two servers acting as DC's. One has a SYSVOL share and the other
doesnt. The sysvol that is shared is about 10MB in size where as the one that
isnt is 0MB. FRS will not start on the server that has the SYSVOL shared to
send the data to the SYSVOL that is empty. The only file in the ntfrs folder
on this server is edb.log. There is no ntfrs.jdb file which I rpesume is
needed to start FRS to replicate SYSVOL. How can I get FRS started on this
server to replicate the data to the other DC's empty SYSVO< folder as if the
working DC goes down I have no working domain controller????

Any answers very much appreciated.

Hi Mark,

Sounds like you may have lost your junction, If you download sonar
from the reskit it should tell you what the error is. If it is the
junction then the error in Sonar is "not a Junction" anyway these steps
should help you rebuild your sysvol tree

Hope this helps

I've not seen that KB before --it's a good one!

Mark, try the non-authorative restore (Burflags=D2)
