Yes, an old question but I'd like to find the registry
entry so I can correct the issue at startup, instead of
clicking away until the volume control re-appears.
I've found a whole series of registry entries for volume
controls but their values do not seem to change at all:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001
\Control\Class\{4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
for instance has a bunch of entries that don't change when
I change various entries from the multimedia cpl.
