Hope this is easy.
FWIW, I have my Start tray(?) vertical along the left of the monitor.
Systray shows at the bottom left of my screen with a number (but not
all) of icons. Above the top icons I have a couple of carats (^). If I
click on them, I can see all icons in the Systray.
Any way I can tweak Vista into showing all Ssytray icons all the time?

Right click the task bar > properties > notification area (aka the
tray ) > customise ( in the 'Icons' box)
Click on the 'behaviours' and choose one.

Thanks. I was trying to hard - looking for a 'global' setting for the
Notification icons.
