I had to purchase a new antivirus software product because
Norton was no longer supporting my 2001 version. I went
out to purchase some software and wound up with
Systemworks premier from Norton. I tried to install once
and wound up taking my computer to the computer guy to (I
think )reinstall/boot my operating system ,windows 2000.
I do not want to screw up again, does anyone have
experience with this systemworks software. Does anyone
have any suggestions on what to look out for before I try
to install again... My experience is limited. I thought I
followed the systemworks userguide instructions correctly
the first time.

Anytime you install software be sure to disable your current virus
protection program and any other running applications as shown by the icons
in the lower right hand corner. If you have software firewall, be sure to
disconnect from the internet before exiting your firewall program. If you
right click those icons, most will give you the option to exit the
application. Also be sure not to reboot the computer until the application
tells you to. Norton Systemworks installs a LOT of stuff on your computer
other than antivirus. You should have the option to install only components
you want during the installation. --- Steve
