SYSTEM32 folder opens as task

B

Brian Fredette

Am running XP home edition, and every time a user account
is opened, the system32 folder opens, apparently as a
task, and slows the startup of the account drastically,
as well as covering the desktop. I have opened task
manager and it shows system32 running as a task. When I
right click and choose "go to process" it takes me to the
process window and highlights "explorer.exe". I have
checked the task scheduler and there is nothing setup in
there to start this, I have searched the registry looking
for a string that may start this as a task with no luck
as well. I have run SPYBOT to remove any spyware/adware
and have also run Norton AV 2004 and this does not show
up as a problem under either of these programs. Can
someone help me figure out what I need to look for and
where so I can put an end to this very annoying action???
Thank you very much,
Brian
