Hello,
I normally logg off and onto my xp home unit. However, now when ever I log
into my local profile I first see the desktop as usual and then a seperate
window opens to the system32 folder. I don't know what happened to change
the default behavior, but it's very annoying to contiuously close this
folders window. What can I do to resolve this problem and just see my
desktop upon loggin into my profile? Thank you in advance..

Joe

I had same problem, (still do) ran the script and it said "could not repair,
expected value not found."

Now what do I do?

One reason for system32 to open at boot is previous virus infection. Some
viruses uses name system32.exe while they infect windows directory.
Somewhere on your computers startup is then perhaps request to start
"c:\windows\system32". While the virus was there, it activated. Now if you
have cleaned your system, there is no more system32.exe, so windows opens
instead "c:\windows\system32". I encountered this behaviour when I cleaned
one computer after virus infection.
