ON STARTUP A WINDOW OPENS WITH SYSTEM32.EXE HAS
ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM AND HAS TO CLOSE.WE CLOSE THIS
WINDOW AND THE COMPUTER SEEMS TO WORK OK.DOES ANYONE KNOW
WHAT THE PROBLEM IS,THANKS

By using all caps, which indicates shouting, did you think that you would
get your questioned answered faster? In the classroom do you shout to get
the teachers attention?

Greetings --

First of all, please unstick your CapsLock key. Posting in all
caps, as you have done, is the Usenet equivalent of shouting, and is
considered very rude. More importantly, posting in all caps makes the
post very hard to read, further reducing your chances of getting help.

Your System32.exe file *is* the virus; it's certainly not a valid
WinXP system file. You don't want that file. Pay particular attention
to _all_ of the removal instructions:

W32.Kwbot.C.Worm
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.kwbot.c.worm.html

Additionally, MS-MVP Doug Knox has kindly scripted a tool that
should help:

You're welcome, and thanks for the apology.
