system32.exe

ok, ok....not too terribly bright a move...but I'll tell
ya what happened...I ran a Norton check on my comp and it
told me that system32.exe was a virus of some kind and
quarantined it...now I know I should have probably
listened to my gut when I was about to delete it, but I
deleted it...now my comp says it can't find system32.exe
each time it boots up...well, that comes as no surprise.
My question is, how do I get it back...I obviously need
this for my comp to run perfectly or it would not ask for
it...thank you.

PS-have already purged it from my wastebasket as well....

You really don't want to get that file back. It's part of several
well-known viruses/worms. It is *not* a valid Windows file. Pay
particular attention to _all_ of the removal instructions:
